Phony Ppl - Phonyland
LATE PASS PLEASE! Special thanks to the homie Oab Jenkins for recommending this project to us on twitter. Never too late for some great music though. Phony Ppl is an acclaimed hip hop/soul/jazz songwriting/production supergroup from Brooklyn, NY who are currently in the studio working on their upcoming Warner Bros. Records album with Plain Pat and Emile (Kanye West’s in-house team). Their debut project Phonyland (which dropped this past January) showcases all aspects of their talents including completely live instrumentation. Recorded at NYU, this project has the atmosphere of the hustle and bustle of New York City along with some very soulful and catchy melodies to keep the ride smooth. Definitely looking forward to what this crew can do with their new mainstream platform. Do yourself a favor and don’t sleep on this project like we did.

normally dont support kids born with a silver spoon but i have a few things to say “good shit” about…
One: the beat… most cats wont even think that it has nothing to do with his pops in the beginning of his rap career but it has plenty.. the break, the bass and the flow of sound scream late 80’s early 90’s… he couldn’t of flowed like this without this type of beat. It gives you a certain type of freedom that mainstream music doesn’t.
Next i’d have to say that his rhymes lacked the current emcee typical-ness which is a huge plus… relisten and you’ll understand…
lastly is the video… not overly produced and low budget enough to say that he wants respect for his craft instead of his look…
can’t say that ill ever get into this joint ever again but in a sea of rappers that can’t be anything other than superficial, i do respect this one video.

Don’t really appeal to me as much as the joy found in real joints… Not knockin anyone that’s dropped coin on them, I salute your investment with smooth eyes. I just don’t dig the awkwardness of a stationary titty (really laughed out loud just now). I should probably state that i’m a “digs personality/ interest” kind of guy. Material shit is but a hush and complexity is welcomed as long as you can find the last piece of luggage you came with.
I can’t imagine being chastised for this post since i don’t know to many folks on tumblr and if you happen to be one to glance please re-blog “stationary titty” cuz that shit is hilarious and should probably become a blog representing “sta(y)-tits”. IDK, just had to write this after peeping an imagine on my timeline (i don’t sub to porn feeds just happen to be friends with people that post images of art or “those type of pics” when they want to). And i’m fully conscience of why some want them,just like guys and that “enlargement” pill but it’s never fully appealed to me… I love women as i see them… no enhancements needed.
